Ortiz Marrero, Jose Angel, 33, of 541 N. Fountain St., Allentown, died Sunday in Sacred Heart Hospital after being stricken in the home of his sister Evelyn, wife of Christopher Lomnicki of Allentown. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, Lehigh County Coroner Wayne Snyder said. Ortiz worked at Blommer Chocolate Co., East Greenville, for the past 2 months. Ortiz Ortiz, Edwin - An Allentown man was found dead under the 8th St. Bridge in Allentown early yesterday morning, police said. Edwin Ortiz, 22, of 759 S. 8th St., had a gunshot wound of the chest. Police discovered the body after a passerby found a shotgun on the bridge deck. The death is under investigation and police released no more information. Deputy Coroner Wayne Snyder pronounced Ortiz dead at 8:24 am, shortly after police discovered the body. Snyder said Ortiz probably died about 1 1/2 hours earlier. An autopsy is scheduled for today at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. Ortiz was a textile worker forthe Textile Dying and Finishing Co. Inc., Bethlehem, for several yrs. Born in Barranquitas, PR, he was a son of Ezequiel Ortiz of Barranquitas, PR, and Isabel F. (Ortiz) Ortiz, with whom he resided. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Allentown. Otero, Carmelo Ceferino, 74, Cadenza Drive, Orlando, died Friday, Jan. 11. Mr. Otero was a chef. Born in Ciales, PR, he moved to Central Florida in 2000. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Olga; sons, Ceferino, Orlando, Charlie, Florida; brothers, Luis, Julio, Picolino, all of New York; sisters, Hilda, Miami, Christina, PR, Alicia, New York; one grandchild. Otero, Francisco, 76, of 39 Pleasant St., died Thursday night in his home after a long illness. He leaves 4 sons, Ramon Otero and Charlis Bulgoz, both of Chicago, Marcelino Otero and Miguel Bulgoz, both of Fitchburg; 6 daughters, Carmen Otero of Villalba, PR, Raquel Bulgoz of Comerío, PR, Francisca and Luz Maria Otero, both of Adjuntas, PR, Adela Otero of Fitchburg and Carmen Rosa Otero of Leominster, with whom he lived; 3 brothers in PR; 3 Worcester Telegram and Gazette Online, MA, 11/11/1989
Otero, Jose A., 68, of West Brighton, a retired post office supervisor, died Monday in St. Vincent's Medical Center, West Brighton. Born in Puerto Rico, he left his native country when he joined the Army in 1953. He was stationed in South Korea shortly after the cease-fire that ended the Korean War. Mr. Otero served until 1960 and moved to Brooklyn. He settled in West Brighton in the 1970s. For 30 yrs., Mr. Otero worked for the US Postal Service. He retired from a Manhattan post office in 1990 as a postal supervisor. Mr. Otero was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Brighton. Surviving, in addition to his daughter, Anna Angri, are his 2 sons, John and Anthony; 2 more daughters, Jessica Otero and Marcia Gambale; 2 brothers, Dorin and Gami; 3 sisters, Lourdes Barreto, Milagros Otero and Julia Castellanos, and 9 grandchildren.
